I needed a treat.
then I would have had to do some extra walking
or really exercise hard.
or really exercise hard.
So rather than feel extra guilty,
I did some fabric surfing, that's exercise right, and
of this kind of Blueberries, Strawberries and Chocolates.
By Judi Rothermel.
Delicious, without the calories.
It was perfect timing with Lori's
SAL or sew along.
Check it out.
My plan is to use these
and if I have to add in some other pieces,
which I will,
I have only 5 minutes to search.
It's time for fun, not for agonizing over a
couple of 2 inch squares.
Ready, set , go.....
With the aid of fast forward,
I think they'll work out great.
Ready, set , go....
Fast Forward....
Here's the block.
One block didn't seem quite enough
so back to the cutting board.
I'll let you see what a set of 4 looks like soon.
It's all about having fun,
and this was fun.
Until Next Time-
love the fabric, can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI was all excited about the cake.....but I think your version of 'treats' is better!!! :o) Your block is beautiful, too! That is some yummy goodness!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful block in beautiful fabrics -- it just looks like the essence of comfort quilting.
ReplyDeletewhat a nice line! Your quilt along is wonderful. I love the black print star
ReplyDeletei mean flying geese - the pink star is great too :)
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric choices - a great project. I think the touch of yellow sparkles.
ReplyDeletePerfect selection of fabrics for this quiltalong. Looking forward to seeing four blocks together, been thinking of doing an entire quilt with this block.
ReplyDeleteHad a hard time getting past that yummy cake but stayed on task & saw your Abundance quilt - really like your fabric choices - a nice finish. Those Judi Rothermel fabrics are delicious too.
ReplyDeleteYum! What a great line to make Abundance from. I thought a larger quilt using the same block would be stunning. Cannot wait to see what you have in store.
ReplyDeletelove your fabric choices for this block, but... do you realise one of the flying geese is heading off in the wrong direction?
ReplyDeleteLOL. I didn't see my backward goose until you pointed it out. It's funny we see what we want to see!
DeleteYummy fabrics. Your Abundance quilt is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics are fantastic. My collection doesn't include such nicely coordinating period prints. I think you should make some more! I have also thought this would make a good center for a medallion quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks. My collection comes from YEARS of collecting.
