Not quite what I was planning,
but through the course of many
events it's happening.

It's still a sense of disbelief,
but as the days move on
it's a feeling that I am now embracing.

It basically entails touching
every single object you have acquired in your home.
Looking at all those things,
and making a decision to keep
or discard.
Slowly, the disorder
with this sweet house on the lake.
But we know
change brings opportunities.

And we're ready to make
those new discoveries.
Well, maybe once all these
blooming boxes are packed.
And our move is only about
5 miles away.

I've often thought about what it would entail if we were to move after 33 years in our house - I can't quite imagine what a HUGE job it would be. Good luck on your new venture!

ReplyDeleteYou can do this, Kyle...we lived in our home for 28 years and sold it in 16 days last summer.
ReplyDeleteWhile our new townhome was being built we lived is an apartment for 6 months...We made this choice "together" while we could and "love" our new cozy cottage. So will you two guys!
