Aristotle said.
Change in all things is sweet.

Heraclitus said,
There is nothing permanent except change.

I have a full disclosure to make:
There's a SOLD sign in my front yard.

Not quite what I was planning,
but through the course of many
events it's happening.
It's still a sense of disbelief,
but as the days move on
it's a feeling that I am now embracing.

This kind of change is
quite disruptive to the normal
ebb and flow of life.

It basically entails touching
every single object you have acquired in your home.

 Looking at all those things,
and making a decision to keep
or discard.

Slowly, the disorder
becomes order as objects are packed
or dispensed to other happy recipients.

The hard part will be disconnecting
with this sweet house on the lake.

But we know
change brings opportunities.

And we're ready to make
those new discoveries.

Well, maybe once all these
blooming boxes are packed.

And our move is only about
5 miles away.

Until Next Time-

  1. Wow! That is a big surprise, and I hope all goes all as well as possible in your move!!

  2. Every move brings both joy and a touch of sadness. May your new home overflow with joy!

  3. Congratulations on your new adventure!

  4. Wow, a big change and I do not envy you moving, but hope you will be happy in your new abode.

  5. I hope you are going to have a nice new quilt room to help adjust to all the changes!

  6. having just done this, I feel for you! Looks like you had a lovely house on the lake.
I'm sure your new one will be lovely too -
    good luck with the packing

  7. I've often thought about what it would entail if we were to move after 33 years in our house - I can't quite imagine what a HUGE job it would be. Good luck on your new venture!

  8. All the best with the move - an exciting new start. And not far away so you will know the area well. It is a great opportunity to sort and sift through things :)

  9. Best of luck with the move. It's sad in some ways and it's also very exciting to set up a new home.

  10. I was hoping you were going to say you are moving to Florida!

  11. With best wishes for your move!!

  12. You can do this, Kyle...we lived in our home for 28 years and sold it in 16 days last summer.

While our new townhome was being built we lived is an apartment for 6 months...We made this choice "together" while we could and "love" our new cozy cottage. So will you two guys!
