If you happened to watch,
the women's 100 meter race,
you were watching the fastest women
runners in the entire world.
I was not included in that
exclusive group of women.
While I was watching,
I was plodding along
getting my appliqué stems
and a few straight pins,
I s-l-o-w-l-y
positioned the stems
on the 26 inch background pieces,
and glued them
with the Roxanne's Basting Glue.
I took the advice of Barb,
and just used the grid as a guide and
strived for similar not identical.
Making them more
Making them more
Whimsy,
Folk art and
Charming
I got ready to use my glue
and look what happened to one
of the bottles I hadn't used yet.
It had something growing in it.
It was pretty rotten and stinky.
Glad I had more.
Glad I had more.
The good news is that I have
advanced to the next round,
the actual sewing
the actual sewing
of my 11 PProject.

I have never seen a bottle of Glue Baste It do that! I did have one turn yellow on me but you may have started a new life form. Such a beautiful pattern you are working on!
ReplyDeleteCheer - cheer! Looks great to me - that's actually a LOT of progress on this quilt - it's gonna be a stunner when it's done!
ReplyDeleteNice glue......looks like something you'd find in my house after years of being buried in a drawer somewhere.
ReplyDeleteYour prep looks great and I'm so glad you are going with free placement, makes the project yours and more relaxing! enjoy - I love your stem fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me think I should take a look at my glue!
