Sherman's March

Last week was vacation.
Like General Sherman in 1864,
 we marched through
Charleston and Savannah in 2011 style.
Instead of burning and looting, we were
touring and eating.

With our friends, Rudy Bob, and Kay Lyn

Eddie Ray and myself, Kyle Anne,
we discovered the charm of both cities.

Starting with hush puppies in Charleston,
tasting a fried green tomato BLT salad

and a whole pan seared scored flounder

at the Old Pink House in Savannah
(Eddie Ray and Kyle Anne)
Throw in a few pralines,

some grits at Hominy Grill in Charleston,

shrimp, butter bean, mac and cheese and fried everything
at See Wee's in Charleston

and milkshakes at Leopold's in Savannah

we managed to roll out of bed everyday to
learn something new.

It was a great vacation in a beautiful part of the country.
Until Next Time-
