A Plethora of Pelicans

Each spring pelicans come to our lake.
Usually just a few that leisurely swim together, stirring up the water
and then catching a few fish.
Today was quite the spectacle.
First there were a couple, then a dozen.
More kept flying in until there had to be
a couple of hundred.

Pelicans are the tug boats of the bird world.

Watching them swim together in a synchronized pattern
is delightful and fun.
I didn't know how to add music to my video, but hum
the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies and you'll
catch their timing and rhythm.
What you hear is a goose honking, not a pelican and
don't watch this full screen, way too grainy.
Guess I'd better just stick to still photos.

Until Next Time-
