If I have something written down,
it gives me more motivation to do it.
Well, maybe not sit-ups or jumping jacks,
but, you know, something fun!
I have been really working on my #9
project from the Project Process Plan
instituted by the Quiltie Buddies.
It's like, I don't want to be the only one
that doesn't progress.
My project was a Basket Sampler kit.
I have been sewing blocks
and have the top pieced.
I even got it hand quilted
with simple diagonal lines across the center
and a little on the border.
It didn't really need to much.
The top is a 24" square.
and a little on the border.
It didn't really need to much.
The top is a 24" square.
Each of these baskets is 4 inches.
I'm a pretty good piecer, but find when I do such small
blocks accuracy is critical.
If I take the time to square up each small unit,
and remove even the slightest amount of fabric,
the whole block is very exact.
It does make a difference.
The fun part about working on these blocks was
using my pinned red and white strips and Thangles and
sewing a whole bunch of these together as an extra bonus.
I just used them as my leaders and enders (Bonnie Hunter)
and look what I got done while getting those baskets done.
It was a double whammy.
So far so good.
I'm moving forward, not at
lightening speed but heading in the right direction.
Hope you are too!
Until Next Time-
double wammy's are good!
ReplyDeleteYour blue and pink quilt came out so pretty! Can't wait to see what you do with those red and white triangles!
