Finally,
I can say I've completed a
few projects that have been on my list.
Time can slip away.
I've been meaning to stitch the binding
down on this.
It's the quilt I machine quilted myself
on a long arm.
Plus it was made entirely from
long forgotten and hidden at the bottom
of the pile fabrics.
Plus it was made entirely from
long forgotten and hidden at the bottom
of the pile fabrics.
So, in just a couple of hours
it was done.
Why do I procrastinate?
Because
I wanted to do
this instead on a beautiful fall afternoon.
I also finished my
fall pillow before the season
was officially over.
Why did it take me so long?
It was more fun to play
with these sillies.
(We take Halloween pictures early around here
because we have a history of blizzards
on Halloween night.)
I also got the top done on this baby quilt.
It's the Falling Charms pattern
Super cute and super easy.
I improvised on the borders.
I didn't have enough for all four sides.
No, problem.
I even made a little doll quilt to match.
There are still many things on my list
but...
you know,
it's easy to get distracted.
Until Next Time-
Wow - you've been so busy! Oh my those costume photos are ADORABLE they look so cute!!!!

ReplyDeleteLove your pillow. Very fun seasonal design.
I need to do something like that with some of my long-forgotten, bottom of the pile fabrics!
Your sweet little twin baby/doll quilts are very pretty.
And I love the photo at the end of the fallen leaves on the evergreen bough.
A very cute pair of sillies you have there!
ReplyDeleteBlue and white quilts always look charming. I love the fall pillow, did you buy the pattern or make it up yourself? Your grandchildren look adorable in their costumes - a beautiful distraction.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is easy to be distracted. Those halloween photos are the cutest!! I love your pumpkin stitchery. Congratulations on finishing 3 wonderful quilts, I think it's so fun you made a mini version of your Falling Charms quilt. Your photos are beautiful, such lovely Fall light.
ReplyDeleteThere's a poem that goes like this:
ReplyDeleteI meant to do my work today—
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
And a rainbow held out its shining hand—
So what could I do but laugh and go?

ReplyDeleteEasily Distracted could be my middle names! LOL Those lions on your porch are adorable. I can see how you would be distracted from sewing when they are around.
