With Thanksgiving just around the
corner here in the states,
there's a whole lot of prepping going on.
Quilt wise, the same thing.
Prepping needles
for more stitching on
my vintage ocean wave.
Last week I was basting like this.
This week I'll be basting like this.
I've got daughters and their husbands
and grandkiddos coming my way
minus the one horse open sleigh,
so quilting will have to wait.
But that's okay.
Just two little thoughts
for our Thanksgiving Day.
And
Until Next Time-
Kyle
And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you! We had snow this morning so I am getting in the mood!
ReplyDeletePerfect thoughts for the season, especially the last one. Happy Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteAnother clever post, Kyle. And when you are basting this week, for sure you shouldn't forget the deep red nails and lips--and the pearl earrings. For a "June Cleaver" effect you could throw in a pearl necklace as well. : )
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving--enjoy your grateful gathering with family!
Such a fun time! Enjoy your Thanksgiving, Kyle!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you also Kyle - always special family times! I can remember my Mom & Grammy in the kitchen dressed as your lady in the card...always in a lovely apron...we are more casual now:-). Love the vintage postcard with the little boy! Happy basting of both kinds!

ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family will have a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving Kyle! It is a holiday we only know in the Netherlands through the stories we hear from American friends. We don't celebrate it over here but of course our traditions and history are different then the American.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very special and Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI love the 'spruce and perky' postcard..what a funny saying. And I guess there will just always be a thing or two I'm NOT grateful for, sadly. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!
