Even though I know longer
have kids attending school,
and don't live according to the school calendar anymore,
I still love the thought of a "spring break".
My daughter, who is an elementary teacher,
still knows the need to get away just for a few days
to refresh the spirit.
So along with her family
and
Running Man and myself
have been enjoying the snow softly falling
at the YMCA Camp of the Rockies
located in beautiful
Estes Park, Colorado.
We've rested,
relaxed,
watched for animals,
even touched a few,
gazed into the fire
and reflected on life
and the importance of family
while toasting a few marshmallows
to keep our energy level up.
When it was time to return home
we all knew
it had been a lovely "spring break".
Until Next Time-
Awwww, I love this, Kyle. Your family is adorable. And family really is important .. in the end, relationships are the only thing we'll be able to take with us!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet images - time spent with family is always to be savored. Snowflakes or spring flowers - whatever the day brings and if there are marshmallows involved it will be good!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a nice, gentle time with family (too bad "Spring Break" included snow). Time well spent!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful. I looks like a great place to relax. Hugs
ReplyDeleteToo bad there wasn't more 'spring' in your break, but it sounds lovely regardless.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to get awhile for awhile - we'll be doing the same thing in a couple of weeks. Everdeen is getting SO big - what a cutie!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying time with family......the best!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely family break, no schedule to keep and nothing "important" you have to do! Hope the weather fines up soon.
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a lovely time :0) doesn't look much like spring though... Not here either.
ReplyDeleteI am totally jealous! Estes Park is one of our very favorite places to go - we usually go in mid September and stay a couple of weeks in our camper. Last year we had to cancel our trip because of the flood. How is the recovery coming in that area? blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous weekend! Sigh! Snow!! (I know you're sick of it, but it still looks like fun to someone from Down Under!!)
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your family photos. Looks like a wonderful time! I visited Estes park when I was 12, must go back one day!
